Being a native Montanan, I've always had the privilege to view and appreciate my state's wildfowl.  I'm fortunate to watch many of the birds I carve from my studio on the banks of the Missouri River.

 My bird carvings are made from tupelo or exotic wood.  The finishes are done in either acrylics or tung oil.  Some of the habitats such as leaves and branches are made from brass foil or brass rods.  I also use items that come from Montana ranches, the Rocky Mountain Front and Montana waterways.
